Full Recovery - Never a Doubt!!!!!!
Today is a great day for Allie and for all of us. Where do I start, there have been so many breakthroughs - as we always say "Today is a great day for a breakthrough" and is it.
The day started with Allie being awake and aware and cognizant of where she is and of her bodily functions and for the first time she wanted to get out of bed and go to the bathroom. Honestly I didn't even know that she was aware she needed to use the restroom. So Nancy got the nurse "Judy" who along with another nurse got her up and moving and into the restroom where she did what was natural and dompleted all aspects of it on her own. They then gave her a shower and dressed her in real clothes and she sat in a chair. WOW - what a difference a day makes.
Then Nancy made a cell phone call and Allie wanted the phone. nancy gave it to her and Allie flipped it open - the way a normal teenager would and started pressing numbers. Nancy asked her if she knew her phone number and she did! She then showed Allie some text messages and Allie read them to her. This is just beyond belief.
The neurosurgeon and Rehab doctor came in and examined Allie and they both agreed - THEY ARE MOVING ALLIE TO THE REHAB AT 2:30 TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a huge hurdle we have crossed - we are now on the rehab side of full recovery.
God bless - never a doubt. Just a short one right now because the news is so huge. Be back later.

Allie you are incredible!!! I was so excited to read that you're on the way to rehab already. Things are happening so quickly I wouldn't be surprised to log on anyday now and find out you're singing and dancing!
Big hugs to all of you, especially Nancy :)

SO many blessings in one day!!!!!Wow, I had to reread this several times.
Even in pain this girl knows how to use the phone. All the progress in one day is just more miracles and more are on the way day by day.
"Courage" is now Allie's middle name.
oh, the wonder of it all.
Can't wait what the rest of the week will bring. Hugs
I honestly cry everytime I come here and read how Allie is doing. GOD IS SO GOOD!! WOOHOOO!!!

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria Osteen
Psalm 46:10 is a great Scripture to pray daily. Turn to it and read it before you make any decision. You'll be amazed at the insight you get from waiting on God instead of striving to find the answers on your own. Don't always react on your first impulse - instead, think about what God would want from you and realize that He is in control. You'll be able to see His hand working in just about any situation when you take a step back and realize it's not your plan, but His. When you're absolutely confused, worried and don't have a clue what to do, relax for a minute and let God work. Don't let panic or worry guide your decisions when God is ready to help you.
A Prayer for Today
God, thank You for remaining in control even when I'm worried or stressed. Give me Your supernatural wisdom to make decisions that honor You and are for my good. In Jesus' Name. Amen
