SHE SMILED - and the world smiles with her. As soon as I got home last night, the phone rand and it was Nancy. Another breakthrough so soon? I had only been gone a little over an our - well if you know Allie and you do by now, you will know that she is the miracle girl and things happen instantaneously.
Nancy was so excited and I couldn't wait to hear the news. Steve, she smiled. Well she smiled and as normal, when she does, I melted. She said that she and our nephew Mike Va we in the room and were standing on each side of the bed. Nancy was asking Allie to follow commands and she wanted nothing to do with it so in typical Allie fashion, she held up her teddy bear and put it right in Nancy's face ie: MOM STOP TALKING. Well Mike found this to be hilareous and began laughing, well Allie must have found it funny also and smiled. AMAZING!!!! No its not - it's Allie
Nancy left the room for a few minutes and Mike, the loving, funny guy he is kept working the audience and the results were amazing, Allies smile kept getting bigger and bigger. This is so huge, he has her sense of humor back and is showing an understanding of humor and is expressing emotion. I'm over the top.
Full recovery, Full recovery. I knew this experience would change me and it has, I just din't know how. I am working to develop the site www.fullrecovery.net Here we will have a venue for people who have loved ones in the hospital who are in need of Full Recovery. We will have inspirational stories and writings, tips on how to deal with the grief and gifts to help them cope and stay inspired. Watch for the opening of it. Proceeds will help Allie and the Ronald McDonald House.
We love and appreciate all of you.

Dear Happy Family
I am a 'friend' that Lila has never met - we met online shortly before Allison's terrible accident. ( I am English and live near Edinburgh)
I have just read that Allison has smiled!! I am so glad, as I told Lila, I am in tears as I type! I have prayed and sent Allison and Lila and yourselves all our love from Day 1 shortly after the accident happened. I have a beautiful photo of your daughter up on my computer every day, surrounded by prayers of healing that I found in a book I own.
With such love from family, friends - known and unknown - how can Allison not be heading for FULL RECOVERY!
With love and prayers from SusanJ
PS - As you probably know - Allison means 'Noble, exhalted nature' - from your blogg - she is certainly that!

Amazing what a smile can do to light up the world around us. You got it right Allie just keep smiling!
Oh, how I smiled too, today, when I pictured you smiling. Love, love and more love. Keep on smiling, my beautiful Allie Skye,
Uncle Ricky
She smiled!!! And we are smiling with her and with all the Cagens!! What wonderful news! Every day brings new miracles and we are so happy for Allie and you all! We can't wait to see sweet Allie and plan a visit very soon.
We love you.

We are all smiling...and we send our love. Tell Miss Allie that we are naming our baby after her. Should God give us girl number 3 in December, her name will be Allie...and Daddy and Dr Steve will just have to deal with the confusion! We all agree, we want our Baby Allie to be proud of her name and where her name came from. (FYI, we knew this the night we visited...but wanted to wait to share our decision.) Jenna prays for Allie every night...and day and many moments when my mind is on driving or eating! She tells us Jesus is fixing Allie and that when Allie sleeps Jesus is working! Cool from a 4 yr old huh! She also helps Ceara pray for Allie. We love the way that Allie has inspired the growth of their prayer life! We love you all...and Allie, we can't wait for you to hold the baby.
Prayer always workd, doesn't it?
Lora Lea
