Sunday Afternoon, June 3rd

Hi Everyone:

After yesterdays successes, Allie has rested most of today. A few friends popped in and spent so time but mostly resting and watching Allie's favorite tv show (which who hoo was having a marathon today) America's Next Top Model. Allie watches and comprehends.

We are still swooning over her eatign ice cream> I told the nurses on the ICU floor and they say she is nothing short of a miracle girl but we have always know that.

Today they took the trach tube out, so Allie is totally on her own and doing great. Thank God, we must have stopped her from pulling it out 5,000 times in the last two days, it was exhausting. They also took out the cathader, soo things are constantly and consistently moving along.

Rick Worley, one of Allie's friends (from the lunch gang) brought by some videos and he made and edited a video montage of Aliie set to music (Do it Anyway - Reba McInyre ?) We all cried like babies - it was beautiful and I count it as one of my most treasured posessions. Thanks Ricky, you are a truly good guy and good friend.

Allie's sense of humor is starting to come through in subtle ways as she messes with me when I try to get her to do things. Ah, that Allie willfulness is coming back but its different.

Going back home for a few hours and will be back tomorrow afternoon so I will fill you in with more later. Oh, by the way, our slogan always has been and always will be - FULL RECOVERY!!!

Thank you and God Bless,

Allie's Dad

WOW! There are no words to express how amazed we are, she is a real fighter and no less than a special human being. But what else can you expect coming out of the most amazing parents in the world.
God bless you all and keep watching over you.

Love you,

Dear Allie and family - we are so happy and thrilled at all your progress. When Mrs. Shumate announced all your scholarships to college at the chorus concert last week, Ellie said, "Allie IS going to go to college - I just KNOW it!" I know your future is bright and this will make you even stronger and more confident. Bless you sweet girl! We are praying for you every day! Keep up the good work! Love, Cindy & Ellie Rudd

Oh hearing about that video made me cry and I didn't even get to see it. Too bad it can't be seen on itube or something. I would love to see it. Well I am so glad to hear how well she is doing. I am sure she will be up and around soon by the sound of her speedy recovery. Some people you just can't keep down. God bless.
