Hi Everyone
Sorry I'm so late witht he update but basically there was nothing to report. Kind of an emotional morning. I have been upbeat and postitive since the crying stopped, however, when we changed her bandana this morning, I was reminded of the extent of the swelling and the injury she suffered and this made me cry. When her head is covered and her eyes are open it kind of like everything is OK - you can be led into a false expectation. Every now and then the reality of the road ahead hits and you cry for a moment and pray for a moment and place the right foot in front of the left and move on - and it's OK. When our faith is tested and we pass, a new door opens up and that's exactly what happened this morning.
Behing here 14 hours a day can get frustrating, you think nothing is happening. You want so bad for Allie to wake up and say "I'm hungry, can we go home now." You hurt so bad that you just want to say come on Allie pleae wake up, please lift a finger, we need you and then you remember, it's not about you, it's about Allie and in her time she will respond - and then it's OK and you put one foot in front of the other and you move on.
A few moments ago the respiratory therapist came in with a new machine - she said they were taking Allie off of the ventilator and was putting her on an oxygen something or other (I'll find out what is is called later) but she said this was the next step up the ladder. Things continue to progress daily and we continue to rejoice. One foot in front of the other.
I just need for you all to know how strong and how wonderful Allie's mother Nancy is. She is an amazing mother, parent, doctor, spirit and best friend. I could not do this without her nor could any of us. She is the love of my life. I bless every moment I am with her.
Thanks for all of your love and prayers. Be back later tonight. We love you.

Steve, your daily reports are invaluable to us all and we appreciate so much being able to know how Allie is each day. You and Nancy are remarkable, loving, healing parents and I'm so happy that you have each other through this long process. Allie's door to healing is open wide and she will continue to improve every moment of every day. We think of all of you every morning when we wake up and continue to send our prayers and love to you.
Love, Tibby and Homer
I wanted to tell you hpow much I appreciate your daily reports. Just a few years ago my neice had a similar accident in Phoenix, woith brain surgery and she was in a coma three weeks. Today she is happoily married, has a child and a job she enjoys. I pray that Allie will do just as well ,if not better. All of us at BLT are waiting for the day we can see Allie "Break A Leg" theatrically. Having worked with her in a couple of shows, I know she has the talent and personality to succeed. I've seen as the other kids follow her and adore her. She is a born leader and will surely be out front doing that again. Please continue to keep us informed ,on her progress. We want a BIG party for her when she comes home. Al Edick
Dearest Nancy and Steve,
This one is for you guys... not neccessarily for Allie.
I know how much, as a parent, you are hurting. There is no more helpless feeling than when you can not make your child better and be able to move forward. When my Erik was little I made up a little song. "I wish I could make you feel better. I wish I could make you all well. But there's nothing I can do, except for loving you. I wish I could make you feel better, and you know your daddy does too." Of course I would be cradling him in my arms at the time. I know that you are feeling the helpless stage more than I ever did, but you are both strong and you have so many people praying for your strength. We hope to get to the hospital to see you both on Thursday evening. I just need to give Nancy a hug!
Another positive encouragement..
Ralph's ex-wife was in a coma for over a month and she came out of it. She was over 50 and not in the best of health, so someone as healthy and young as Allie will be back too. I am claiming The Secret for Allie and thanking God daily (actually many, many, many, many, many times daily) for Allies healing back to whole person she was before the accident.
I love you both and keep you lifted in prayer.
Lynn
My wife and I have been keeping up with Allie's progress. We are glad she is improving and hope for further improvement on a daily basis. I can not wait to kiss the beautiful hand of hers. Diane, my aunt, and I have an appointment tomorrow and hope to be up their around lunch time to see her. We will keep her in our prayers. My wife and kids are looking forward to meeting your family. God Bless. Marty
Hey Steve,
We hope you feel the love today. This sounds like one bad day for you, when you had to, again, face Allie's physical reality.
Cry when you must. Crying cleans the soul. Makes room for new beginings.
On a happier note.= = =
We like Nancy lots too. Not only is she all the things you think, but she's cute, smart, sensitive and much to our amazement, she finds you charming even when she thinks your outrageous remarks are shocking. You're one lucky guy to find such a fine woman to travel through life with. She sure is one of your blessings. God is Good.

Dear Steve and Nancy,
Thanks for the update. There is not a n hour that goes by without me thinking of all of you. You are both showing enormous strength most of all Allie is showing that she is a fighter. Be happy with the progress and know that for the moment she is not feeling the pain and is still resting. She is a tired little girl and needs her sleep right now.
You bet the day is coming when she will say : Let's get out of this place and go home!!!!
Much love, Jeannot
From Aunt Ellie,
Make yourself familiar with the angels, and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you.
My dear Allie, your guides and angels are always with you, as is my love.

Hi Allie,
I am praying for you to get better soon. We didn't get to be in Charlotte's Web, because we had already planned to go camping with our church that week-end. I am taking my tests this week, and I hope I will be out for summer soon. I want to swim a lot. I am going to the Wild's Camp June 18th.
Love,
Alexis
Allie, you are an amazing young lady with the most adorable smile I've ever witnessed. I can't wait to see that smile again.
Please smile for your mom and dad and all the youth troupe kids whose lives you have touched!
You can do this!!!
Bunches of love, prayers, and good wishes are winging their way to you from the kids and me.
See you soon.
Love from me to you--
Sonia
