Wednesday Morning, May 30th

GREAT NEWS!!! The doctors think Allie has progressed to the point that they will be moving her out of the ICU today and into a private room. This is HUGE and we are so happy - my heart is pounding.

This led us to a dilemma - we would have to find new housing. Oh no. But now for more GREAT NEWS - the Ronald McDonald house said we could stay there until Allie was totally done with her care. You have no idea what this means to us.

I'm with patients now and have to rush off but couldn't wait to share the news.

We love all of you and thank God and all of the angels who are protecting us.

That is great news indeed. We continue to pray that God be with you and Allie. We pray that He heal her and give you all a sense of His presence and comfort. You may not know us, but my daughter August was the big bad wolf in "The Last Enchantment" the play Allie directed for her Senior Project. She did a wonderful job directing and August had a great time. We'll continue to pray for her full recovery.

Dear Cagen Family,
We've been reading your posts and loving every tiny positive step up the ladder, urging Allie on and cheering every progress moment. Your love for each other shines and is a gift for us all. We're really proud of Matt too, for being such a great brother. We KNOW that Allie is surrounded by her angels, and that they are always there, providing comfort, wisdom and encouragement - just like you both are.
We continue to hold you in our prayers,
Steve and Sue Huber

Dr. Steve, Dr. Nancy, Allie & Matt,
I'm blessed by Allies progress every time I log on! You can tell she's a fighter and wanting to come back to you. Right now she is safe and resting warmly under Gods wing. I'm thrilled she has improved to the point of being moved out of ICU. You will like staying at the Ronald McDonald house, we used that option when we lived in Fl. and Tiffany had her heart procedure done, it is a blessing that they offer this service. Remember to take care of yourselves as well as Allie she will need your strength while she continues to recover. I've sent this blog to several praying friends (can't get too many prayers)!! We continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers! Love,
Wayne, Melodie, Tiffany & Jason

Home Sweet Arches! How great of the Ronald McDonald house to let you continue to stay through Allie's recovery. I was so impressed with the hominess, room, food and facilities you have available. Incredible!

Congratulations on Allie's strides, many arrow prayers shoot up for her. Anxiously waiting to hear about the big move to a regular room.

This blog is sooooo incredible, I check several times a day hungry for news about Allie, and for insights as to what you are feeling.

Huge hugs and love, Ruth

Steve-

Hearing the lightness and joy in your voice today was nothing short of inspiring. You must be bouncing off the walls even more than usual!! :-)
Not to worry about the changes in Allie's nurses, you will grow to love her new ones maybe just as quickly as they will come to adore all of you.
Anxiously awaiting more great news...

peace and love-
Allyson

Hi, I was just thinking about you and Allie and Nancy (and everyone else) when I was writing in my blog tonight. I just wanted to leave you with the quote that got me thinking in the first place. "Every day is an opportunity to make a new happy ending."

I hope all your days are full of happy endings. God bless and good night. Donna

This is the first time I have been to Allie's blog, but have been praying for her because Marla told all of us FlyBabies about her. I read through all of the posts and was brought to tears several times. Your Allie is truly an amazing young lady and the God we love and serve is greater yet by far! Praise Him for all He is doing in your family's lives and through you! Praise God for Allie's continued healing and full recovery! I have bookmarked this blog and will continue to visit it and pray for Allie and your family.
God bless you all abundantly!
