Thursday Afternoon, May 31

Hi everyone:

Spoke to Nancy earlier and things are going well. She said that she had a rough night with Allie being in her new room. We are used to her having a private nurse and someone there round the clock and it is not that way being "on the floor." I was also very uneasy because what happens if something goes wrong? Allie is not able to make a sounf or move much less call for help. It still freaks me out but I have been assurred that all is good. Wierd but I felt so comfortable where she was. We truly loved the nurses in the ICU unit and with to thank all of them for everything they have done. God bless you all - we'll bring Allie back when she is well.

Here's some cool stuff:

Yesterday, the Brevard HS chorus called Nancy's cell phone and sang a song to Allie which she recognized. Thanks guys

Nancy says the new room is nice and bright has flowers, a tv and dvd player and two chairs, one that turns into a cot.

One nurse said she is really not in a coma anymore???

The neurologist said they are going to cap the trach tube during the day. Yahoo, this way if Allie wants to speak she will be able to and if you know our girl, she will want to talk.

It just keeps getting better and better. Nancy says the new nurses are realy nice. I just want to rush right down there - got another couple of hours but boy am I excited to see them both. A few hours seems like forever!

They will be doing an ultrasound of Allie's legs today to make sure there are no bloodclots and if everything goes well, Nancy the physical therapist will be back tomorrow.

Well that's all the news for right now.

God Bless Ya All
Allie's Dad

"The soul is not inside the body, the body is encircled by a huge soul." Nancy & Steve, the two of you have so loved and honored the human body in all of its complexity and offered your healing gifts so generously to so many people through your years of earnest dedication and caring. My thought would be to focus on that perfect soul of Allie's, rather than the seemingly imperfect body. And, to keep reminding yourselves that you are not alone, but are within the embrace of the immense powers of an unseen (but felt) kingdom, the dimensions of which resonate much deeper and farther than we can imagine. God is Allie's True Father and her True Mother. She is being deeply embraced and nurtured, no matter how things may appear on the surface or the imaginary "news" anyone gives you. Rest yourselves in profound TRUST and know that ALL IS WELL, and everything is being taken care of (in ADVANCE!)

The Creator never sleeps. (But you probably should).

Warmest healing thoughts.

Can anyone who reads this blog not look at their own child in a new and precious light? Allie's gift, and your gift to all of us is the awakening you have given us from life's "to-do" list to what is important; the lives we have been blessed to share. While this has been the hardest time for you in your lives, your energy, communication, awareness and love is a profound blessing to all of us. Thank you. Huge hugs and love back, Ruth

Nancy and Steve: I would like to take the opportunity once again to thank you for changing our lives. Since we met you guys, we see the world with different eyes, and we are making sure everyone we know do the same; all of this thanks to you guys, and Allie. You are truly a source of inspiration for me and everybody else that have the pleasure to meet you.

God is with Allie and he is just letting her chose her path and take a break of the everyday life, she is resting.. So just pray and give her time to enjoy god's company.

God Bless you.
